Donna Marshall Little, 56, of 323 Pine Trail Rd., Gasburg, VA, died Friday, April 10, 2009.

Donna was a native of Roanoke Rapids, the daughter of the late Donald Lee Marshall and Helen France Marshall. She was employed with the Roanoke Rapids Graded School District for thirty years. Donna was also the former owner of Malt’s Restaurant in Roanoke Rapids.

She is survived by her husband, James E. Little, Jr.; her son, James E. Little, III "Jamie" and his wife, Stephanie; three grandchildren, Colton Lee Little and Christian James Little and Helena Faith Little; her brother, David Marshall and his wife, Deborah, all of Roanoke Rapids; her nieces, Hayden Marshall, Breanne Marshall, Jennifer Dunlow, Marsha Little, Wendy Edwards, and Tammy Edwards; her nephews, Braden Marshall, Benjamin Bridgers, George Little, Bill Edwards, Tommy Goddard, Robbie Goddard and Richie Goddard; her mother-in-law, Irene Little, of Roanoke Rapids; two sisters-in-law, Connie Little Bridgers, and her husband, Johnny, of Conway, and Phyllis McCullom of Greensboro; and two brothers-in-law, Mickey Little and his wife, Melanie, of Hubert, NC and Tim Little of Roanoke Rapids.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements where the family will receive friends on Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at 109 Frog Level Dr., Roanoke Rapids. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Monday, April 13, 2009, at 2:30 p.m., with Minister Billy Meinsen officiating.
